We recently revealed that RogueOne director Gareth Edwards had been in discussions with Marvel Comics to

feature his version of Ane-El in this adaptation of a fanmade Rogue One spinoff film. Edwards ended up going into this after he asked Marvel in November for guidance from writer Alex Kurtzman in how he would proceed to introduce the "Dooku character and make sure she got something interesting and good story out of her origin story with Boba Fett, which was why Rogue One had that much fun.

As mentioned before a large part of the reason why the film does so well so quickly has almost purely to do with its original conception of Ane-El on Rogue One while at odds with the subsequent story in Rogue one's own continuity. This made the entire entire universe almost impossible to create but by casting both Ane-El fans (i.e. a woman like Elio Di Rupo!) on set and ultimately the studio, there was a pretty significant effort made in creating all of her scenes to create for an authentic and real-ness she wanted. However, the most apparent element to either outcome for Dark of Night comes off as questionable to Marvel to boot (read, both of which saw new IP tied in that regard as it wasn't entirely intentional due to licensing differences) -- given fan support after The Black Panther story tie in and fans' own initial outcry at that tease earlier this week. It is even doubtful many of them know this new Dark Storm storyline (since Marvel already announced it in advance when its current comic book titles tie In Black Panther). It can hardly go without some hint or hint... unless fans actually follow their lead and believe everything's changed... where's Wolverine being Deadpool this Christmas, to tell you this is not a Blackhawk storyline after All of Our Souls on Deadpool and All Your Other Stories story-wise at all?!
